Chile (Itata Valley)

ENG
“Wine professional and as a hobby in my spare time I make wine. In love with what wine is, and in awe of how incredible geology is. I love to see the role that it plays in each bottle, and how it manifests itself. I enjoy being outdoors like nothing else in the world.

The big challenge in oenology for me is in the selection of places where to achieve typicality, and to show that typicality with a defined style in the winery. Where the work focused on monitoring, intervening very little, only what was necessary to help that grape to reveal its origin, that specific site, and ultimately that Terroir in a bottle of wine. I don't like the “wine industry” when the term industry is more important than wine.

Student of Manuel de Salas, in Ñuñoa, Agronomist-Oenologist Engineer from the University of Chile, Master of Science in Viticulture from Stellenbosch University. Places to whom I owe great moments, great experiences and above all great friends!! Today Technical Director of Altos Las Hormigas, Malbec Specialist, in Mendoza, Argentina. And make to fight wines in the forgotten Itata valley, in the Itata hills, in Bio-Bio, Chile, with its own Rogue Vine project, Itata wines.”
