“Just under 7 hectares of vineyards. Great respect for our main vine, Sangiovese, which occupies about 90% of the vineyard area, but we are also passionate about the challenge with other vines such as Trebbiano, which comes from an old 1967 vineyard and since the first vineyards, in 1981 we have planted just under half a hectare of Chardonnay, a vine which, although widespread throughout the world, is a difficult but compelling challenge for us.
Our vineyards have an average slope between 15 and 20%. The soils are mainly made up of fine sand and silt with calcareous clasts from the Alberese area and with rare traces of clay, especially in the lower areas. A marked section of skeleton is also present. They are also very draining both due to the composition of the soil and the slope itself. The vines have an average density of around 4,700 vines per hectare and are cordon-trained, with pruning that limits cutting on old wood, thus favoring controlled branching of the spur upwards. The yields per hectare are on average between 45 and 60 quintals of grapes. The grapes are harvested rigorously by hand, in several steps, and the grapes are in the cellar within two hours of harvesting at the latest.
All the crops are carried out with the certified organic farming method, the first step towards a conscious agriculture, respectful first of all of the earth and of man. We observe and take care of the soil's vitality with respect to its balance with the plant, the fruit. We are passionate about an agricultural vision that is not limited to the fruit-plant relationship alone, but that also extends its vision to other relationships both in the agricultural and social fields.”

“Algo menos de 7 hectáreas de viñedos. Gran respeto por nuestra vid principal, Sangiovese, que ocupa alrededor del 90% del área de viñedo, pero también nos apasiona el desafío con otras vides como Trebbiano, que proviene de un viñedo viejo de 1967 y desde los primeros viñedos, en 1981 hemos plantado algo menos de media hectárea de Chardonnay, una vid que, aunque está extendida por todo el mundo, es un reto difícil pero apremiante para nosotros.
Nuestros viñedos tienen una pendiente media entre el 15 y el 20%. Los suelos están constituidos mayoritariamente por arena fina y limo con clastos calcáreos de la zona de Alberese y con escasos rastros de arcilla, especialmente en las zonas bajas. También está presente una sección marcada del esqueleto. También son muy drenantes tanto por la composición del suelo como por la propia pendiente. Los viñedos tienen una densidad media de unos 4.700 cepas por hectárea y están encordados, con podas que limitan el corte sobre madera vieja, favoreciendo así una ramificación controlada del espolón hacia arriba. Los rendimientos por hectárea están en promedio entre 45 y 60 quintales de uva. La uva se vendimia rigurosamente a mano, en varios pasos, y la uva está en bodega como máximo dos horas después de la vendimia.
Todas las cosechas se realizan con el método de cultivo ecológico certificado, el primer paso hacia una agricultura consciente, respetuosa ante todo de la tierra y del hombre. Observamos y cuidamos la vitalidad del suelo respecto a su equilibrio con la planta, el fruto. Nos apasiona una visión agrícola que no se limite únicamente a la relación fruto-planta, sino que también extienda su visión a otras relaciones tanto en el ámbito agrícola como social.”
